It is simply not possible to briefly describe the sights of the capital of Ukraine - Kiev. During many centuries of its existence, it grew up, developed rapidly, was replenished with new interesting architectural ensembles and historical monuments. The Golden Gates in the capital of Ukraine is a monument of the 12th century, of which few survived to this day. Today the building is striking by grandeur and inaccessibility. Above the battle tower was the Church of the Annunciation, which was a symbol of the Christian city, since the Golden Gate served as the main entrance to the city of Kyiv. They were built in 1164 immediately after the construction of the city's defensive shafts ended.

One of the first documentary references to St. Michael's Cathedral is found in the chronicle, which states that the prince Svyatopolk Izyaslavich July 11, 1108 laid a new stone temple near the Dmytrovsky Monastery and the Church of St. Peter in honor of St. Archangel Michael.

The monument to Bogdan Khmelnytsky is the most famous monument of the city, which is a symbol of Kyiv. He was established in honor of the Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky, who entered the history of Ukraine as a great military leader, statesman and leader of the uprising of the Ukrainian people against the rule of the Commonwealth.
